Ruby Simon – Student Veterinary Nurse

Ruby grew up on a small holding on the Island where she learnt about the importance animal welfare from a young age. Since then, she has developed a passion for rescuing animals, specifically exotics.

She graduated the University of Hertfordshire in 2018 and became a world travelling conservationist, rescuing, and rehabilitating endangered animals in need. Her proudest achievement was being a foster mother to nine orphaned bear cubs in Borneo, where she lived in the jungle for months.

Ruby is now keen to develop her veterinary knowledge to specialise in exotics and wildlife rehabilitation.

She is currently living with her partner and two Guinea pigs!
