Gillian grew up on the Isle of Wight and was lucky enough to be allowed an array of pets as a child. She qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2007 before headed straight back to the island where she has worked in various local practices ever since.
She lives with her husband, two children, beloved family mongrel and an assortment of fish and other creepy crawlies. In her spare time, she enjoys tending to her vegetable patch, wild food foraging and dog walks on the beach. She tries to be a voice for local wildlife and will sometimes be found planting a tree, digging a pond, or making a bee hotel!
